Waseda University honored Matsumoto Koshiro IX,; Koji Kimura and Ikujiro Nonaka at the Spring 2013 Entrance Ceremony
Thu, Apr 25, 2013On the occasion of the Spring 2013 Entrance Ceremony held on April 1st and 2nd, the University had the pleasure of presenting former table tennis player Koji Kimura with the Award for Distinguished Service to Sports, kabuki actor Matsumoto Koshiro IX with the Award for Distinguished Service to Art, business scholar Ikujiro Nonaka with an Honorary Doctorate degree. Each of the three celebrated individuals offered a congratulatory address to the incoming freshmen. Words of congratulations were also delivered during the 2nd Ceremony by Chief Board Adviser of Nippon Yusen K.K. Jiro Nemoto, who is also an Honorary Chairman of Keidanren and a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Waseda University, and then during the 4th Ceremony by Mikihito Ishiki M.D., Hospital Director of Iwate Prefectural Takata Hospital.
