集団行動を示す群集および動物の群れの制御手法と環境変化に対する行動応答
群集の管理は、混雑した場所や公共イベントにおける安全確保のために不可欠です。しかし、機械とは異なり、人間の群集は、同じ信号や刺激に対しても個々人が必ずしも同じように反応するとは限らず、さらに模倣行動が生じることで、予想とは異なる結果につながる可能性があるため、その制御は容易ではありません。私の研究では、群集に働きかけて集団行動を予測可能な形で変化させ、安全性と快適性の向上につなげる方法を探究しています。また、人間の群集と社会性動物の双方を対象に、共通点と相違点を明らかにすることで、集団運動や集団行動の複雑さの背後にある重要なメカニズムの解明を目指しています。特に、実際のイベントにおける現地データの収集や実地実験を重視し、現実的な環境下で有効な解決策の提示を目指しています。
