研究テーマ
Experiments on Roommate Problems
Matching Theory predicts that a stable matching is always achieved in decentralized unilateral markets, if it exists. However, the lack of empirical data makes it difficult to test whether these results hold true. Moreover, it is also difficult to know what happens in these markets if agents’ preferences are such that no stable matching can be formed.
The aim of this project is to shed light on the above questions with the objective of understanding how agents behave in this type of markets and what results they achieve. To this end, we designed experimental markets and implemented them in a laboratory to obtain data on agents’ decision-making.
