Research Topic

Creation of a precise synthesis platform for inorganic nanoporous materials for the utilization of untapped energy

Materials containing nanoscale pores are useful across a wide range of applications, including energy materials, catalysts, and biomaterials. Precise and versatile synthesis is essential for rational functional design; however, synthetic methodologies remain under development. In this study, we aim to establish a synthesis strategy that enables simultaneous control over the composition, nanoporous structure, and crystallinity of nanoporous metal oxide materials, which have been difficult to realize using conventional approaches. This advancement will open the way to novel nanoporous materials that enable chemical synthesis and energy conversion utilizing untapped mechanical and thermal energy sources.
