主 旨 / Outline
近年のヨーロッパの近世史研究では、近世国家の多様性を詳らかにすることによって,従来の主権国家論の相対化が図られている。本シンポジウムでは、検討の対象を空間的にも時間的にも拡張し,19世紀アジアにおける主権概念の拡大と変容にかかわる問題を視野に入れる。目下相対化されつつある近世ヨーロッパの主権概念と近代アジアに拡大された主権概念とを対比することによって,主権を改めて捉え直したい。
