| 主旨 Outline |
ディルムンは、メソポタミアの周辺国の1つであり、前2000年から前1800年にかけて、メソポタミアとオマーン、インダスを結ぶペルシア湾の海上交易を独占し、非常に繁栄した王国でした。言わば、メソポタミア文明を物流の面から支えたのがディルムンでした。現在のバハレーンが、このディルムンに比定されています。 このたび、フランス国立科学研究センター/リヨン大学上席研究員であり、バハレーンの文化古物局顧問をつとめるピエール・ロンバル博士（Dr.Pierre Lombard）を日本に招聘し、セミナーを開催する運びとなりました。ロンバル博士は、25年以上にわたり、ディルムンの王都とされるカラートゥ・ル・バハレーン遺跡の発掘調査にたずさわるほか、シリアのウガリット遺跡、アルメニアのアルタシャン遺跡など著名な遺跡の発掘に参加してきました。このセミナーを通じ、日仏考古学の交流を図ります。ぜひご参集ください。 |
