Research Topic

AI agent for risk analysis of advanced engineering systems

This study aims to develop an AI agent for accident risk analysis, focusing on hydrogen systems that are indispensable to the transition toward a carbon-neutral society. Conventional risk assessment methods are often constrained by high costs, qualitative analysis and strong dependence on individual expertise, which limit the widespread implementation of reliable and high-quality analyses. The value of this research is to enable high-quality risk analysis by reducing human dependency and systematically utilizing expert knowledge, operational experience, and lessons learned from past accidents. The proposed framework is expected to be applicable not only to existing infrastructures but also to advanced systems, thereby minimizing system-level risks and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
