[Application closed] WIAS Visiting Researcher Seminar: “How to publish in international refereed journals”(4/25)
Details
This workshop offers practical guidance for researchers seeking to publish in System, an international
journal focused on applied linguistics and educational technology in foreign and second language learning.
Drawing on insights from the editorial team, the session will outline what makes a strong submission, how
to align a manuscript with the journal’s scope, and common reasons for desk rejection. Participants will
gain an understanding of what reviewers and editors look for in terms of originality, theoretical grounding,
methodological transparency, and contribution to practice. The session will also offer tips on navigating
revisions and responding to feedback effectively. There will be time for questions and discussion.
