協定機関であるデンマーク・オーフス高等研究所との研究者相互派遣プログラムを開始しました
早稲田大学高等研究所は、本年度より当研究所の協定機関である Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies（デンマーク・オーフス高等研究所。略称：AIAS）と、研究交流を目的とした所属研究者の相互派遣を開始しました。2人目の利用者として、先月末よりオーフス大学に滞在中のレ ドウ ズン 講師より今回の訪問の動機や約2か月の滞在中の研究予定をご紹介します。

当プログラムを利用するに至った経緯
Having attended and presented my research findings at various academic workshops and conferences in several countries in Europe, I have developed a strong interest in the research environments there. I aspire to return to Europe as a visiting scholar to further explore these environments.
When I joined WIAS in the 2024 academic year, I learned about a call for applications for a short-term visit at the Aarhus Institute for Advanced Studies, Aarhus University, Denmark. This opportunity immediately intrigued me and I thought to myself the opportunity has come. A quick search on AIAS not only impressed me with its beautiful and interdisciplinary working environment but also revealed the biographies of professors and senior researchers in the fields of Health Economics and Development Economics whose research interests align closely with my ongoing projects. An exchange program at AIAS would be an invaluable opportunity for me to advance my on-going research so, I prepared and submitted my application to AIAS without hesitation.
研究計画
I am fortunate to have the support of Professor Nabanita Datta Gupta, the Department of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus University as my host during my stay at AIAS. Professor Nabanita’s renowned work on children health and well-being aligns perfectly with my research. Particularly, I will collaborate with her to examine the intergenerational effects of child marriage laws on early childhood development (e.g., health and cognitive skills) and women’s empowerment across developing countries.
In addition to that I will also participate in seminars and workshops at AIAS and the Department of Economics and Business Economics to gain new knowledge and academic skills from leading scholars.
