高等研究所 訪問研究員 セミナー: Building and sustaining international research collaboration(10/28)
詳 細/ Details
Using the International School Leader Development Network (ISLDN) Social Justice strand as a case study, this seminar focuses on the establishment and growth of an international research collaboration involving more than 22 researchers in 14 countries. I outline the development of the project from initial team building, including the exploration of researcher positionality, to the formulation of research focus and methods, data collection, and interpretive framework, followed by the scholarship and key research findings emanating from this project. I reflect on the ‘growing pains’ that accompanied our formation as a research network and consider the utility of Community of Practice (CoP) theory (Lave & Wenger, 1991; Wenger, 1998, 2010) as a retrospective sense making heuristic that surfaces important lessons for researchers considering international research collaborations.
