When I was a university student, I loved spending time in libraries. Even now, when I visit universities in Japan and abroad, I try to visit libraries. Libraries are not just places to store books, but centers of learning, growth, and discovery. With DX (digital transformation), the role of libraries is evolving more and more.
Libraries are often thought of as quiet places to study, but in reality there are many more ways to enjoy them. Of course you can do research for reports or assignments, or concentrate on studying, but I encourage you to visit the library in your spare time for other purposes as well. Libraries have a wide variety of bookshelves, and you can come into contact with books and materials in fields outside your specialty. Exposure to new knowledge is very stimulating, and a good opportunity to deepen your interests and curiosity.
I also hope you enjoy the library space. There are different floors, chairs, desks, seats by the window, and seats right next to the books, so you can relax and absorb information. It will be fun to spend time in libraries on other campuses.
University life is a time for learning and growth, and a chance to deepen your interests. The library is the ideal place for this. Please make active use of the library, access books in a wide range of subjects, and enrich your journey of learning and growth. I hope you enjoy a rich university life.
