On July 27, 2023, the International Symposium on “Human Movement Studies: From Perspectives of Sport Science, Engineering, and Medicine” organized by Human Performance Laboratory and Comprehensive Research Organization Waseda University led by Professor Yasuo Kawakami of the School of Sport Sciences Waseda University’s Health Promotion: The Joy of Sports and Exercise Unit (Top Global University) was held with researchers from all over the world at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan).

Over 40 up-and-coming researchers from countries in Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Australia came together (some hybrid) for lively debates.
Heated discussions continued during the in-person information exchange session after the symposium.
