Global Leadership Fellows Program (GLFP)グローバル・リーダーシップ・フェローズ・プログラム

多様な価値観を尊重できる真のグローバル・リーダーを育成することをテーマに米名門大学との協働で、2012年度からスタートした留学プログラムです。1年間の海外留学に加え、留学前後にも特別な教育カリキュラムが組まれ、学部4年間を通じてのプログラムであることが大きな特徴です。将来、国際社会において卓越したリーダーシップを発揮する人物を育てます。

This is a program launched in the 2012 academic year in cooperation with prestigious universities in the United States. The objective of this program is the nurturing of true global leaders who, among other qualities, could respect and honor a diverse range of value systems. In addition to the one-year of study abroad that is a part of the program, a special curriculum is organized for the periods before and after that year, giving this program its most notable feature, its continuation over four whole undergraduate years. We foster students who will demonstrate prominent leadership in the global society in the future.

育成するグローバル・リーダーの人物像

• アジアと西洋諸国の両方の歴史・文化・社会を熟知し、互いに尊敬・配慮しながら、優れた判断と意思決定を行うことができる者
• 知識・情報・科学的な分析等の知的能力の高さに加え、勇気・信念・奉仕・貢献といった全世界に共通する高貴な価値観を持つもの
• 専門性を重視しつつ学際的思考性を磨き、多様な知識や知恵を持つ人々を有機的に繋げ、複雑なグローバル課題解決に寄与できるもの
• 多様な文化的・宗教的・社会的背景を持つ人々との人間的コミュニケーション能力を有し、調和的な多文化共生社会の構築に寄与できるもの

The program aims at nurturing global leaders who:

• Individuals who possess an extensive and nuanced understanding of the histories, cultures, and societies of both Asia and Western countries, and who are capable of exercising sound judgment and principled decision-making grounded in mutual respect and consideration.
• l Individuals who, in addition to distinguished intellectual capabilities—including advanced knowledge, information literacy, and rigorous scientific analytical skills—uphold universally shared noble values such as courage, conviction, service, and dedication to the common good.
• l Individuals who, while firmly rooted in disciplinary expertise, cultivate interdisciplinary modes of thought and are able to integrate diverse forms of knowledge and wisdom, thereby contributing meaningfully to the resolution of complex global challenges.
• l Individuals who demonstrate refined interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, enabling them to engage constructively with people from diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds, and to contribute to the realization of a harmonious and inclusive multicultural society.
