Research Summary
The current National Curriculum Standards encourage improvements in school curricula aimed at realizing the goals of “proactive, interactive and authentic learning.” We have been conducting collaborative research with the local community on the implementation of classes and the development of teaching materials that young students find interesting and enjoyable, where they can identify and solve problems through their own ideas and active engagement.
Currently, we are continuing our collaboration with the Smile Project Co., Ltd. This project includes model outreach classes and the development of educational materials for science experiments, programming education and art education. We are exploring strategies to improve education through collaboration with the local community. These efforts also include model outreach classes, the development of teaching materials that encourage inquiry-based learning through familiar phenomena and teacher training.
We will also continue to support the planning and judging of science contests organized by the Board of Education.
