On January 21, the Ski Association of Japan announced additional athletes who will represent Japan at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and Sakurako Mukogawa was selected (affiliated with FUJIFILM BI Akita Corp., graduated from the School of Education in 2014).
This announcement was made in response to the reallocation of participation slots. Receiving points at the December 2021 Ski World Cup was one of the recommended criteria for being sent to Beijing 2022, and Mukogawa, who had received points, was selected. This will be Mukogawa’s first time participating in the Olympics.
