現代の中央銀行は、経済学の研究を利用し実践している主要な主体である。しかしながら、中央銀行において経済学がどのように利用され実践されてきたか、経済学が中央銀行の実践からどのように学んできたかについては、未開拓の研究領域である。
この研究部会では、主として経済学史の方法を用いつつ、過去や歴史のみでなく、現代の中央銀行を取り巻くさまざまな課題も検討する。

Central banks today are major institutions that utilize and practice economic research. However, how economics has been utilized and practiced in central banks, and how economics has learned from the practices of central banks, remains an unexplored area of research.
This research group will primarily use the history of economic thought methods to examine not only the past and history, but also various issues surrounding central banks today.
