2008-2012年: 立命館大学経営学部 准教授
2012-2015年: 早稲田大学政治経済学術院 准教授
2015年– : 早稲田大学政治経済学術院 教授
これまでリレーションシップバンキングと融資競争，政府系金融機関の金融危機における役割に関する研究をJournal of Financial Intermediation やJournal of Banking and Financeなどの専門誌に公刊してきた。最近は、借り手間のネットワーク構造の銀行融資への影響、無担保融資と企業の無形資産投資に関する実証研究に取り組んでいる。
Yoshiaki Ogura specializes in the empirical studies in banking and corporate finance. He has published articles on the relationship banking and competition, and the role of government-controlled banks in financial crises in Journal of Financial Intermediation and Journal of Banking and Finance. His recent research topics include the impact of the network structure among borrowers to lending decisions, and the empirical study on unsecured loans and intangible investments. He has been at the School of Political Science and Economics (SPSE), Waseda University, since 2012. Before joining Waseda, he taught at Ritsumeikan University and Hitotsubashi University. He received his BA (1995) and MA (1999) from Kyoto University, and his Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University (2005).
