現在、早稲田大学に在籍する政治学博士です。専門は選挙政治学で、特に日本の選挙に関心があります。私の研究テーマは、選挙競争の欠如が先進民主主義国の民主的ガバナンスにどのような影響を与えるかを探ることです。私の学位論文のテーマは、無投票・無競争選挙が民主主義の質にどのような影響を与えるかを明らかにすることです。私の研究では、地方選挙における政治競争の欠如が、議員の行動や有権者の民主主義に対する信頼にどのような影響を与えるかを調べています。また、日本の自殺予防やメンタルヘルスにも関心があります。
I am a doctoral student of Political Science currently enrolled at Waseda University. I am specialized in electoral politics with a particular interest in Japanese elections. My research interests lie in exploring what the effects a lack of electoral competition has on democratic governance in industrialized democracies. The theme of my dissertation is to find out how uncontested and uncompetitive elections impacts legislators behavior as well as voters trust in democracy. I also have an interest in suicide prevention and mental health in Japan.
