専門は労働経済学・応用計量経済学。「科学技術の発展と人口動態、気候変動が、経済・社会に与える影響」というテーマで、計量経済学のアプローチで、研究を進めている。特に米国の労働市場に詳しい。現在は、気候変動の地域労働市場やマクロ経済への影響、産業用ロボットや移民流入が労災リスクに与える影響、将棋のデータを用いた人工知能の知的労働の生産性への影響をテーマとした実証研究に取り組んでいる。以前にゲーム理論を用いて、交渉の理論研究を行っていた。
He specializes in labor economics and applied econometrics. Using an econometric approach, his research focuses on “the socioeconomic impacts of technological development, demographic change, and climate change. He has particular expertise in US regional labor markets, He is currently engaged in empirical research on the effects of climate change on regional labor markets and the macroeconomy, the effects of industrial robots and immigration on the risk of occupational injury, and the effects of artificial intelligence on the productivity of knowledge workers. Previously, he conducted theoretical and experimental research on game theoretic bargaining.
