1.Purpose and Concept
Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have been remarkable, and the need to establish AI-responsive financial laws has been shared by both emerging countries and Japan. Therefore, this symposium invites three young lecturers from the “AI and Law” team (https://cyber-law.uz/en/professor/) at the Cyber Law Department, Tashkent State University of Law, along with one practitioner from Tashkent. They give lectures alongside Japanese scholars and engage in discussions with scholars, practitioners, students, and others from both countries of Japan and Uzbekistan, creating an opportunity for mutual learning and growth.
2.Abstract
Following presentations on cutting-edge practice and legal theory concerning “AI and Financial Law” in Uzbekistan—namely: (1) Cybersecurity and Privacy Issues (Lecturer Chaudhary), (2) Challenges of Digital Democracy (Lecturer Esbaev), (3) Challenges in Financial Regulation (Lecturer Amirjon), and (4) The Future of AI Practice (Researcher Dosov)—three Japanese scholars make presentations on the situation in Japan. This will be followed by a discussion involving scholars, students, practitioners, and others from both Japan and Uzbekistan.
