Kimiko Kono, Professor at the Faculty of Literature, Arts and Sciences at Waseda University. She earned her Ph.D. from Waseda University’s Graduate School of Letters, Arts and Sciences in 2004 . Her research focuses on the studies on ancient Chinese books in Japan. After serving as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Waseda University, she has been a professor there since 2012. Her major publications include Nihon Ryōiki to Chūgoku no Denshō (Nihon Ryōiki and the Chinese Tradition, Bensei Publishing, 1996) and the three-volume Nihon “Bun” Gakushi (A New History of Japanese “Letterature,” co-edited and co-authored, Bensei Publishing, 2015–2019).
