History

1961/01	The Section for University History was established in the Library.
1963/12	Reorganized as the Room for University History.
1965/06	The first issue of Transactions of Waseda University Archives published.
1970/04	Reorganized as the Editorial Department of the University History.
1978/03	The first volume of The Centenary History of Waseda University published.
1997/09	The Centenary History of Waseda University is completed.
1998/06	Reorganized as the Waseda University Archives.
2004/10	Publication of Documents related to Okuma Shigenobu begins.
2007/10	The Okuma Memorial Room opens.
2008/09	Moved from Building 2 to Building 120, Waseda Campus.
2013/09	Moved from Building 120, Waseda Campus to Higashifushimi Campus.
2015/07	A ceremony was held to commemorate the completion of Documents related to Okuma Shigenobu.
2018/03	The Waseda History Museum (facility) opens at Building 1, Waseda Campus.
2022/04	Reorganization of the History Museum (facility) and the Waseda University Archives. The facilities of the Waseda University Archives at Higashifushimi are named “Higashifushimi Archives, Waseda University History Museum”.
2022/10	Publication of 1st volume of the Waseda University 150 Years Chronicle.
