Exhibition outline

One-third of the Tomioka Collection is calligraphic work from early modern Japan. This exhibition displays work by Hakuin, an prominent figure in Japanese Zen Buddhism, and his disciples.

Exhibition information

  • Date: 10/4/16 (Tues) – 11/19/16 (Sat)
  • Venue: The Tomioka Collection Exhibition Room, 1F of Waseda Aizu Museum
  • Time: 10:00 – 17:00 (Admissions until 16:30)
  • Closed: Sundays and Holidays (also closed on 11/4)
    *specially open on 10/10, 10/23, and 11/6
  • Free admissions

A free gallery talk will be held on 10/15 (Sat) from 13:00 – 13:30.
