If so, then sign up for the ICC Outreach Program!
The ICC Outreach Program pairs international students with students from Japan to help foster intercultural understanding in the local community. Each pair creates a lesson about the international student’s culture to present at a local Japanese school.
This edition is at the famous Waseda Jitsugyo for elementary school children, who are full of curiosity.
At the orientation ICC will explain details of the program and provide templates and sample materials. Then, you and your partner will work together as a team to prepare, practice and then present your lesson at the school.

Audience: 3rd- and 4th-grade elementary school students
Program Schedule
Orientation: Feb 12 (Wed) 11:00am-12:00pm (@Zoom, mandatory)
School Visit: Mar 5 (Wed) 8:30am-12:15pm (four 40-min lessons)
- After orientation, each pair will create a lesson plan and submit it to the school.
- Faculty of the host school will review the plan and give feedback (via email, etc).
- You will need to meet several times with your partner in order to prepare materials and practice.

Participant Commitment
Although this is a volunteer program, participants are expected to teach a class at a scheduled time and place, so dropping out of the program or being late is not acceptable.
