Saint☆Onii-san
Author: Hikaru Nakamura/Publisher: Kodansha
A daily comedy depicting Buddha and Jesus sharing a room in a cheap apartment in Tachikawa, Tokyo, as they try to enjoy a vacation in the lower world after the end of the century. The way these two people are enjoying a leisurely life in Tokyo, making ends meet with their meager salaries, is similar to how we university students are suffering from lack of money. Many of the gags scattered throughout the book are based on myths and history, and I, who was a high school student at the time I started reading this work, became interested in history classes. It is a popular work that has been made into a movie and a live-action drama, but we recommend the manga first.
hyperinflation
Author: Kyu Sumiyoshi/Publisher: Shueisha
An economic battle fantasy in which Luke, an indigenous boy living in a colony of a major power, uses his ability to create counterfeit money from his body to wage an economic war in order to retrieve his sister who was taken away during a slave hunt. The thrilling battle of wits, where offense and defense change over and over again within a few pages, and the wild ups and downs of the gags that are constantly inserted into it, make for a roller coaster-like read. All elements such as characters, setting, story, psychological warfare, and gags are intricately intertwined, and it is by far the most interesting book I have ever read. After watching this work, I started learning about the structure of entertainment.
Majilmier Co., Ltd.
Original work: Yukka Iwata / Illustration: Yutaka Aoki / Publisher: Shueisha
Kana Sakuragi, a female university student who is having a hard time finding a job, ends up joining a venture company, “Magilmier Co., Ltd.,'' and becomes a “magical girl,'' a job that everyone dreams of. As someone who is currently job hunting, the opening scene, in which the main character fails many times at a company interview, was quite shocking. However, after seeing the main character working at Magilmier Co., Ltd., how his personality matched his work, it made me feel positive about employment and work.
Did you get an idea of how to post a review? Please tell us in your own words about the appeal of Oshi Manga that has influenced you. We are waiting for your posts!
