Professor Saito, one of the top level PI at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, has been appointed as the 24th President of the Japanese Society of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, an organisation with a long history that will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025. Refrigeration and air-conditioning technology is one of the high-performance heat pump technologies that are indispensable for achieving carbon neutrality.
Professor Saito will dedicate himself to promoteing the further development of this field with further improvement in igh-performance equipment and the conversion of refrigerants as well as achieving co-creation of a carbon-neutral society that can be created by technologyies.
