In collaboration with the Department of Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC), the Global Japanese Studies Model Unit at Waseda University has released a video series titled “Exploring Premodern Japan.”
In the following video, Dr. Thomas McAuley from the University of Sheffield in the UK shares the fascination and meaning of “Washed by the Waves of Waka Bay: Translating the Poetry Contest in Six Hundred Rounds.”
