The online course “Sports Injury Prevention” to be taught by Associate Professor Dr. Sugimoto will officially be launched on edX (MOOC: Massive Open Online Course) starting May 20, 2021. Dr. Sugimoto is a qualified athletic trainer (ATC) with extensive work experience at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in the United States. He will give lectures on injury prevention by utilizing case studies, data collection and practical preventive training methods for competitive athletes.
The goal of this course is to learn the basic knowledge of injury prevention, situations where injuries are likely to occur, and injury prevention training programs over a course of 6 weeks.
