Takashi Kuraishi, a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Takizawa Lab and a member of the Unit for Multiscale Analysis, Modeling and Simulation of the Top Global University Project, Waseda University, will receive the Inoue Research Award for Young Scientists. The award from the Inoue Research Foundation is for Kuraishi’s PhD thesis work on “Space–Time Computational Analysis of Tire Aerodynamics with Actual Geometry, Road Contact, Tire Deformation, and Fluid Friction.” Only 40 of these awards are given in Japan in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Kuraishi will receive the award at a ceremony in February 2020, which will also be formally attended by Takizawa.
