On November 15, 2018, Assistant Professor Kai Queck of the University of Hong Kong gave a talk entitled “Curing Nationalism: Two Experiments”. Professor Atsushi Tago of the School of Political Science and Economics hosted the event with the support from Top Global University Project, Center for Positive/Empirical Analysis of Political Economy at Waseda University.
Dr. Kai Quek has published articles based on experiments from highly recognized and reputational journals, such as International Organization, International Security and the Journal of Politics. The talk was given based on Dr. Quek’s most recent research on Japan and its relations with China by using multiple cutting-edge experiments. The seminar was also supported by the JSPS Kakenhi for Challenging Research (Pioneering) and the Fund for the Promotion of Joint International Research (Fostering Joint International Research B).
