Articles on the educational and research activities being carried out under Waseda University’s Top Global University Project were published in Science, one of the world’s top academic journals.
Every week in the month of March 2018, interviews with the coordinators of the seven model units explaining their unit’s achievements and activities planned for future were published. The very first article featured Professor Shuji Hashimoto, Senior Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and University Provost, who commented on the efforts being made in the Top Global University Project. In the interview, he says, “We attribute [the favorable results in the QS World University Rankings] to the international collaboration of our model units and the recruitment of overseas faculty members. We are on the right tack to achieve our goal of creating and sharing knowledge for the betterment of society on a global scale.”
