Kenji Takizawa (Professor, Department of Modern Mechanical Engineering, Waseda University) and Tayfun Tezduyar (James F. Barbour Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Rice University and Joint Appointment Professor, Waseda University) gave keynote and plenary lectures at the joint 6th European Conference on Computational Mechanics and the 7th European Conference on Computational Fluid Dynamics. The joint conference was in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the European Community on Computational Methods and Applied Sciences (known as “ECCOMAS”) and had over 1,900 registered participants.
The lectures Takizawa and Tezduyar gave were titled “Analysis of Diesel Exhaust Systems with Particulate Filter and Oxidation Catalyst” and “Space-Time Computational Analysis: It Adds Another Dimension.”
