RIMS (Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Kyoto University) organized “RIMS Workshop on Mathematical Analysis in Fluid and Gas Dynamics” at Kyoto University from December 4 through December 6.
The workshop was partly supported by the unit for “Multiscale Analysis, Modelling and Simulation”, Top Global University Project, Waseda University. Participants came from not only Japanese universities but also McMaster University (Canada), Penn State University (USA), TU Darmstadt (Germany), and Arizona State University (USA), and also there were several scientific talks and discussions about the latest research of the mathematical fluid mechanics. Each talk contained the existing topics, and the participants discussed actively them during the workshop. We hope that everyone studied a lot from this workshop.
