<Seminar Outline>
On September 14, the “Second International Seminar on Nanoporous and Nanostructured Materials for Energy, Environment and Health” was held at the Nishiwaseda campus. The first one was held in Montpellier, France, two years ago. The local organizers of this Seminar are Professors K. Kuroda, Y. Sugahara, A. Shimojima, H. Wada, and Y. Kuroda from Waseda University, collaborated with the scientific committee of Professors A. Ayral, B. Boury, and M. Wong Chi Man, from Pôle Chimie Balard, Montpellier, France. The quality of all presentations was quite high and various topics related to energy, environment and health were discussed. The program of this one-day Seminar is stated below. The topics covered by the Seminar were various but each presentation focused the relation of nanostructure and functions.
