Start your scholarship registration here! In order to apply for scholarships, you need to carry out a “Scholarship Registration” every year, with the exception for scholarships that are paid on an ongoing basis, such as JASSO Scholarships (Student Loans).
New undergraduate students who enrolled by the general entrance test will receive a copy of the booklet “Challenge” in the documentation sent out along with the enrollment notification. Students who enrolled by recommendation or other means will have a copy sent out separately by early March.
The methods for distributing copies of “Challenge” to new graduate students differ, depending on each graduate school. Please ask at the graduate school in which you will be enrolled.
Please check the FAQs(Information in Japanese language only) if you have any unanswered questions about scholarship registration.
In order to carry out a “Scholarship Registration”, you need to submit online application form via MyWaseda.

Many scholarships set out income criteria. Criteria are set out in consideration of family composition (number of family members, schools attended by other family members, etc.), income type, how students commute to classes, tuition fees and other circumstances. Unlike undergraduate school scholarships, some graduate school scholarships use the combined income of the student and his or her spouse to determine family income, as in the case of JASSO scholarships (Student loans). Please refer to the latest version of “Challenge” (a booklet providing scholarship information) for details of the income limits (guidelines) for each scholarship.
