On November 26, 2021, we invited Ayumu Watanabe, Kazuki Taiga, who are specialists in the GS Center, and a student staff Shun D, to give a public lecture in high-flex format, receiving a total of 186 participants.
The main part of the talk was a theme entitled “Passing the baton on”. We received many passionate comments such as, “If you have a hard time living, please use the center. If you reach out to someone, there are people who will grab your hand”; “The ‘obvious’ is not a given. Someone raised a voice and the people who inherited that voice gave it shape. When each person inherits the baton, it’s definitely possible to change society”; “Even if you don’t have an LGBTQ+ identity, if you think about gender, please use the center. You can get to know about diversity by getting involved little by little”.
All the participants were deeply drawn to the powerful words that can only be conveyed by three people who have been working together for five years, and we were able to share a meaningful time.
