At the Waseda Arena, which was completed in December 2018, the 2018 commencement and the 2019 entrance ceremony were held, and sign language interpretation and PC character interpretation were introduced to ensure information for people with hearing impairments.
Sign language interpretation was performed on a stage right by an interpreter (with two persons taking turns), and PC character interpretation was performed remotely. The text information was projected along with the projection on all four giant screens in the venue. As a result, we were able to deliver realistic images and easy-to-understand information to all attendees, not just those with hearing impairments.
