The 8th Waseda University Writing Forum was held online last March 24, 2021 at 13:00-15:00 JST, with the theme of “Fostering Students and TA/LAs: The Significance and Challenges of University Learning Support Programs.”
More than a hundred participants from within and outside Japan joined the event. Three guest speakers – Prof. Atsuko Tominaga (Director, Center for Meta-learning, Future University Hakodate), Prof. Satoru Takagi and Prof. Kazunori Noguchi (Math Education, Global Education Center, Waseda University) – introduced their learning support programs. In addition, 10 poster presenters (2 in English and 8 in Japanese) shared their work online and received comments from interested forum participants. All in all, it was a productive event thanks to everyone’s participation.
