On Sunday, March 23, 2025, the 12th Waseda University Writing Forum was held at Building 3 on the Waseda Campus. The event was organized by the Academic Writing Program of the Global Education Center at Waseda University.
This year’s forum was held as part of a commemorative event to honor Professor Saori Sadoshima for her outstanding contributions to the Academic Writing Program. More than 50 participants—including students, faculty and staff members, and alumni—gathered at Building 3, the home of the Writing Center.
During the poster session, current tutors at the Writing Center, instructors (shidōin) of the Japanese academic writing course “学術的文章の作成,” and alumni from both groups presented their research. A total of nine presentations were delivered in both Japanese and English. The forum featured lively discussions on a wide range of topics related to writing instruction and support, not only at Waseda University but also at other institutions.
