The book entitled “Collected Papers in Honor of Yoshihiro Shibata” (Ed. Tohru Ozawa) has just been published by Birkhäuser, the registered company Springer Nature Switzerland in January 2023 on the occasion of seventieth birthday of Professor Yoshihiro Shibata, the founding leader of the Mathematics and Physics Unit of Waseda University. This book in 394 pages collects 16 papers dedicated to Professor Shibata previously published in Journal of Mathematical Fluid Mechanics (Editor-in-Chief : Professor Giovanni P. Galdi, University of Pittsburgh) in 2022.
The latest results on Mathematical Fluid Mechanics are collected and will be a valuable resource for researchers as a guide for the world trend in this area. Papers are written by 32 world wide renown experts and leading researchers who have made a significant contribution to the international activities of our unit, including researchers who were previously graduate members in the international externship program “Mathematical Fluid Dynamics,” 2009-2018. The Journal of Mathematical Fluid Mechanics has a history of a quarter of a century, while the number of the contributed volumes with title under the name of specific researchers are only two.
