Short Bio
Yayue, Xiao is a PhD student in the five-year PhD programme in Economics at Waseda University. She is also a research associate at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics and a research fellow at the Research Institute for Environmental Economics and Management, Waseda University.
Her research interests include energy economics, environmental economics and industrial ecology. Her research focuses on understanding the economic impacts of climate change mitigation policies.
Her goal is to address the challenges of human-induced climate change by improving the design and effectiveness of climate change mitigation policies. She aims to contribute to policy design that balances environmental sustainability with economic growth and social equity.
