Waseda University Research Institute for Letters, Arts and Sciences (RILAS) is organizing English Academic Writing Roundtable on Monday, March 6, 2023. This event is primarily intended for early career researchers who wish to actively publish their research results in English. We will invite panelists who have published academic books or articles in English to share their experiences. Participants can ask questions directly to the panelists in an informal atmosphere. This event is recommended for researchers who are considering publishing their research results in English in the future but have little or no experience yet, or who would like to learn more about the process and approaches to book publishing and article publication.

Naoko Kojima (Associate Professor, School of Community and Regional Policy Studies, Ritsumeikan University)
Ph.D. in Foreign Language Education, Graduate School of Foreign Language Education, Kansai University
Her research focuses on the psychology of learners in English classes. She is the author of Student Motivation in English-Medium Instruction: Routledge.
Izumi Yamazaki (Associate Professor, Faculty of International Social Sciences, Gakushuin University)
Ph.D. in Economics and Education, M. Phil. in Economics and Education
Her research interests include African regional studies with a focus on education policy. Her research findings have been widely published in international journals including World Development.
