People are often called "professionals" when they receive payment for doing a certain job. Faculty are professionals who impart certain knowledge and ways of thinking and help students acquire certain skills.
Sometimes it's stimulating to be exposed to the way professionals think in different fields. Recently, you can easily do this through YouTube videos. I often watch videos by Masahiro Sakurai, the game creator behind Kirby and Super Smash Bros. In these videos, he frankly discusses his professional attitude, from his philosophy on game production to team management. While it would be better to learn about his work through books or by speaking to him face-to-face, videos allow you to do your homework without having to worry about getting in touch. It's not so much that you can get in touch with him, but rather that you can just get a glimpse of his work.
What you can sense from the video is the amount of input and output he has. He is a heavy gamer. He specifically points out the characteristics of games from many of his plays. He even says that he sometimes plays a game while watching a movie on another screen at the same time. His output is writing columns and public relations activities. He actively appears in public to promote himself. The aforementioned video has 260 videos. I think this amount of input and output makes his talk persuasive.
These days, generative AI can provide us with a variety of information. Meanwhile, so-called professionals seem to be able to naturally input and output to a degree that leaves the AI's output unsatisfactory. In fact, it would be a lie if the input and output didn't just automatically become more powerful.
