Waseda Weekly is a web magazine that delivers useful information for student life and interviews with Waseda students and Alumnus (graduates) to current students. In the commemorative issue for new students, student staff involved in writing the articles will introduce recommended articles from among the many sections and how to use them.

佐久間：まず最初に新入生の皆さんに『早稲田ウィークリー』（以下、ウィークリー）の簡単な説明をしましょうか。
佐藤：そうですね。早稲田大学学生部が発行している大学公式Web マガジンで、現役早大生に役立つ記事を、授業期間の平日毎朝9時30分頃に公開しています。実は歴史が長く、1966年に紙冊 子で創刊され、2016年にWeb マガジンとして生まれ変わりました。
佐久間：佐藤さんがウィークリーを知ったのはいつ頃ですか？
佐藤：1年生の初めですね。当時パンデミックで入学式がなく、授業はオンラインのためキャンパスに行く機会もなく…。少しでも大学の情報を集めたいと調べているうちに、ウィークリーのサイトに出合いました。人に会うこともままならなっかたので、多方面で活 躍する現役早大生を紹介するコーナー①「ぴーぷる」を読んでいろいろな学生を知れたことは刺激になりました。佐久間さんのお勧めのコーナーは何ですか？
佐久間：僕は②「フォーカス」に助けられました。編集室の職員や学生スタッフが学内のネットワークを駆使して集めた有益な情報を丁寧に紹介しています。例えば年間4,500円でトレーニングセンターに登録できるとか、医療費が給付されるとか、また図書館にはレポートの相談に乗ってくれる学生スタッフがいるなど…、友達と喋っているだけでは知りえない情報が詰まっています。
佐藤：お役立ちといえば、③「こんな授業！ どんなゼミ？」や④「私のワセメシ」も学生生活にダイレクトに役立つ記事。新入生なら履修登録や、新しい友達とのランチの場所探しにすぐに使えますよ。
佐久間：学生たちの多様性だけでなく、先生方のバラエティー豊かな顔ぶれも早稲田の特徴。そんな先生方の思想や研究内容に触れられるのが⑤「えび茶ゾーン」と⑥「教えて！ わせだ論客」です。忖度なしの自由な発言も多々あり、それを掲載してしまう点がウィークリーらしい（笑）。そして、早稲田らしいといえば校友が登場する⑦「先輩に乾杯！」もその一つですよね。
佐藤：コレ、私が一番好きなコーナーなんです。個人的には、大学での勉強内容と違う道に進んでいる先輩方が多いのが興味深くて。新入生にはこれからの学生生活の指針になるはず。
佐久間：最後は、⑧「Special Issue」。その名の通り、年に数回公開する目玉コーナー。著名な校友が登場したり、学生が参加できる企画もあるので、ぜひチェックしてほしいです。
佐藤：こうして振り返ってみると、ウィークリーを読んでいる学生とそうでない学生では、学生生活の充実度に雲泥の差が生まれる気がします。晴れて早大生になったからには、大学が用意したさまざまなメリットを存分に享受してほしいですね。
佐久間：同感。毎日ウィークリーをチェックすることを、新入生の必修科目にしてほしいくらいです（笑）。

Born in Chiba Prefecture. Graduated from Ibaraki Prefectural Namiki Secondary School. Belongs to the "Original Song Research Group Always" (official student club) and is active in band activities. Wanting to interview various Waseda University students, Tanabe challenged  to the student staff of Weekly. When interviewing of People, Tanabe takes photos of students with his own SLR camera.

Born in Chiba Prefecture. Graduated from Senshu University Matsudo High School. Interested in social issues such as child poverty, Ukiya deepened his learning at university and in Extracurricular activity. Ukiya also has a super English brain, having achieved a TOEIC score of 955 by studying only for entrance exams.

Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Waseda University Senior High School. A personal movie-related blog that Tsutsumi started using his part-time job at a movie theater and what he learned at university quickly gained popularity and exceeded 1.5 million views in total. Tsutsumi also has an outdoor side as a member of student club “Tsuri no Kai” (officially recognized student club).
