Would you like to discover your own prejudices and see into a new world?
On January 13, we will host the SDC Human Library, which was held in 2018 and was a great success.
The Human Library, a concept practiced in over 70 countries, features people like a normal library provides books. The “books” share their unique life stories, thoughts and experiences of misunderstanding and prejudice, and “readers” have a dialogue with them. Our Human Library will have 10 “books,” with diverse and unique life stories. By interacting with them, you may encounter new experiences and values. It is also a good chance to reflect on your own life through the experience of a variety of books.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
- Attendees who desire accommodations (PC speech-to-text interpretation; sign-language interpretation; guidance at venue; securing of seats), including those bringing children, should inform us by Monday, December 25, 9:00am, through the registration form.
