The WIAS “Structural Changes in Middle East Politics & Economics, and the Role of Arab Muslims” research group will hold their fourth MEXT joint research project seminar of 2014 on November 1st (Sat) and 2nd (Sun) 2014 at Kyoto University, Yoshida Campus, Bldg. #2. This fourth seminar will examine Islamic politics and gender in the Middle East in the wake of the Arab Spring. Please note this event is being held at Kyoto University.

The venue is slightly difficult to find. Research Bldg. No.2 (formerly Engineering Bldg. No.4) is on the left side immediately after entering the Kyoto University North Gate near the Hyakumanben (百万遍) intersection. Take the elevators near the North entrance of that building to the 4th floor, and turn left (East) as you get out of the elevators. Please be aware that the South entrance to the building is closed on weekends.
