The WIAS “Structural Changes in Middle East Politics & Economics, and the Role of Arab Muslims” research group will hold their third seminar of 2014 on September 5th (Fri) 2014 at University of Tokyo, Komaba Campus, Bldg.18. This time we will have a presentation from Shuji Hosaka, the Research Director of the Japan Institute of Energy Economics’ Middle East Research Center. He will speak about the so-called “Islamic state” between Iraq and Syria, an issue that erupted in June 2014.
