The Global Leadership Fellows Program (GLFP) is an exchange program under which Fellows from American partner universities are exempted from paying Waseda University tuition and associated fees. During their stay at Waseda University, Fellows will be given priority for accommodation at the university dormitory (Hoshien); however, they must complete the dormitory application within the designated application period. Students who fail to apply within the specified period will be responsible for arranging their own housing. For American students participating in the GLFP, Waseda University will cover the basic monthly dormitory fee; however, students are required to pay any additional miscellaneous expenses directly to the dormitory.

Utilities (Electricity, Water, Gas) (charged monthly)
Facility Service Fee (charged monthly)
Private Room Electricity Fee (charged monthly)
Repair Costs (charged only when applicable

Also, Fellows will be responsible for the following expenses:

Round-trip airfare to and from Japan
Local transportation in the U.S. (round-trip between home and nearest international airport)
Local transportation in Japan between Narita or Haneda Airport and Waseda University
Meals and other living expenses during the program
Study abroad insurance covering the period of stay in Japan

There are few dormitories specifically for exchange students at Waseda university and accommodation for U.S. GLFP students will be arranged in Waseda Hoshien International House which is 5 minutes on foot from Waseda campus.

: Living, kitchen, lobby, TV set, internet cables, toilet, shower room and launderette are shared for common use. Meal service is not provided.

: PC room and a health consultation room opened to all dormitory students.

: All rooms are for single-use. A bed, refrigerator, desk, chair, closet, bookshelf, lamp stand and air-conditioner are provided.
