Waseda University Brussels Office is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Eri Anno as the new Director of the Waseda University Brussels Office (WBO), based in Brussels, Belgium, effective August 2026.
In her new role, Ms. Anno will represent Waseda University in Brussels and promote academic and research collaboration between Waseda University and European universities and research institutions. She will also contribute to strengthening Waseda’s engagement with European research and higher education networks and fostering new opportunities for international collaboration.
Ms. Anno brings extensive experience in international academic collaboration and research management. Prior to joining Waseda University’s Brussels Office, she worked as a University Research Administrator (URA) at Kobe University, where she supported the development and implementation of international research partnerships and university-wide internationalization initiatives. She also served as Deputy Director of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Bonn Office in Germany, where she was involved in promoting Japan–Germany academic exchange and organizing international academic events.
Drawing on her experience in Japan and Europe, Ms. Anno looks forward to building on Waseda University’s existing partnerships and developing new connections with European universities, research organizations, and stakeholders in Brussels.
Through these activities, the Waseda University Brussels Office will continue to serve as a bridge between Waseda University and Europe, facilitating academic exchange, research collaboration, and long-term institutional partnerships.
