2019<\/strong>Notice on the Cancellation of the March 2020 Graduation <\/strong><\/h2>\n

and April 2020 Entrance Ceremonies<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and ensure the well-being of students, parents, faculty, and staff, Waseda University has made the decision to cancel the university-wide March 2020 graduation and April 2020 entrance ceremonies. All related events, including the March 2020 graduation and April 2020 entrance ceremonies at all undergraduate and graduate schools, will be cancelled as well.<\/p>\n

Making this decision has been extremely difficult and heartbreaking, especially when thinking about the students, their families and friends, and many others who have been looking forward to celebrating the students\u2019 accomplishments at these events. However, given the seriousness of the situation we are facing, we hope that you will understand our decision.<\/p>\n

Details on how and when to collect graduation certificates will be announced tentatively on March 6 through the university website and other communication means.<\/p>\n

Information on events planned for incoming students will be updated as needed, so please wait for further announcements.<\/p>\n
